U could always get the last milk cheque into that creamery can ur fillin with all the money thats in milk that every1 keeps tellin me about. If any1 can tel me where to find it i would be grateful

Go to Dungannon for the next holstein sale and ask the farmers there. Never seen the like of it. Called for a few minutes. All heifers around 2400 gns and saw the first cow sold 3000gns. Left after that..no point staying.

Trade was good there today. Yearlings 1000 to 1500 I believe. Springers near 2. Just seen the end of the milk heifers and a few cows.
Next month the sfp will be in play

Yes all out,even the calves. Running out of grass so dry cows in next week so I can keep the heifers out longer.well spread,biggest batch is 20

How many make it to 4.

Well, the average culling rate is around 28% so that makes just under 4 yrs as a milker. It's probably system dependant though.

Tomorrow morning I’ll have no cows stuck in cubicles,no cows doing splits on slats and none lying in four inches of skitter at the front of the drinker.
I’ll also have very little milk.

If every night is like that over winter ul not have much bother milkin as theyl all be in the dead lorry shortly

Used to do this but keep them out night and day now get on far better as they never look in ours had their last day grazing on Tuesday only was 70 of them and dried off 44 so they can graze what’s left
