Why rye? What type off stock are you planning on feeding it too? How does it compare to winter wheat wholecrop?

Started getting too late to reseed, thought the weather was never going to come so put Rye in hoping that if it’s cut in mid July il have a big window for reseed. Dry cows, and milk cows. Always wanted to try dry cows on it. Lower feed value than Winter wheat. I’ve never fed it or grew it before so il know better when feeding it next year.

A certain ingredient(s) became hard to get from China. Lesson: either produce it at home again, or try not to fall out with the Chinese. Also, something about production problems at norbrook.
It was norbrook rep that told vet they were starting production again. Wonder if they’ll up the price knowing there’s nothing else on the market? Vet said that was a possibility.

I’ve tried about 30 of them. No effect on cows that’s already shown signs of high SCC or had a previous case of mastitis. A handful have seemed to of worked on heifers that’s been a first time offender but you need to catch them very early with it or it’s a waste of time. Doesn’t work if they become a repeat offender.
That’s my experience. For a long time I thought I was putting them in the wrong hole..
