What makes you think I'm chasing liters ? Lol my system is probably more simple than alot of guys
grass and nuts cant be much more simple than that
Sorry,I just assumed when you’re talking to a nutritionist in June that you were either housed or buffer feeding…chasing litres. I’m in your gang, grass and nuts. Very few of us left in NI. Z put up figures last year, under 50%?
Regards nutritionist, haven’t spoken to one in five years. Haven’t had silage sampled in five years. I’m a big boy now. I don’t need someone who doesn’t farm to tell me how to feed cows.

Would get away from it myself if I had the choice. If you dont listen you cant learn. That's way I look at it anyway

I don't need someone who doesn't farm to tell me how to feed cows.........my thoughts entirely,

Talking to the tanker driver from the carlsberg dairy , he says theres number of farms he goes to with milk in barrels, jars and only milk tanks surely with all the heat atm this practice shouldn't be allowed, after all we're producing food

How do you know they dont farm ? They have a herd of cows at home better than mine achieving better results than mine anyway. I'm not afraid to admit someone knows more than me and can do a better job than me anyway.
Because the boys that called at this farm were usually straight out of Greenmount/Queens and wouldn't farm with their auld boys. Work shy. When you get to Z and Wee Willy's age there's nothing new to learn. Unfortunately.

Do anyone get a fiver a ton off if they don't use the nutritionist? If not you may as well use them because you're paying anyway and as someone has said you can always ignore what they tell you.

Some people want to over complicate milk production and it's all for extra litres not necessarily extra money, I use a simple formula, cow+ grass + kgs of udder buster= loadsa milk = loadsa money. Currently I'm on 0.15kg per litre
The last gadshite I listen too told me if I used genus ai he'd guarantee me no slurry heal. And you wonder why I'm passed advice
As long as you've done your best I wouldn't worry about quality or quantity

That wouldnt be just as easy got red of all the same. I'm not saying anyone should change there own system its entirely up to them self. Sort of got of topic. I started by wondering did people's milk recording results match up to the ones the company was giving them.

No very rarely do they match, milk recording always higher. And yes I have complained but they don't want to know.
