The heat wave is all water under the bridge
250kgs of roughly 41% nitrogenHow much fertiliser does everyone sow per cow . I'm at approx 2/3 of a ton Including that figure is fertiliser for young stock roo
Used to go 54 units after each grazing but have been cutting that back the last few years, sitting around half that or less now due to more use of slurry. I forgot to count in grass silage bought in which at a guess brings us up to 400kg a cow a year. Do believe years ago my father would have put on 250kg 27n for 1st cut, this year was 135kg.I have the same number of young stock as cows, certainly couldn't half my rate,I'd have no grass. 40 units after every grazing, cows or calves
400-450kg 27n here, would be sowing 25 units a month on grazing, probably should be a little more.I have the same number of young stock as cows, certainly couldn't half my rate,I'd have no grass. 40 units after every grazing, cows or calves
All grass, grazing and silage, over 1/3 of fertiliser is sown in March alone ,first time around for grazing and solageDoes your fertiliser calculations include all silage fertiliser or just grazing?
