This is an exceptional year, cows normally in at night 2 to 3 weeks, plenty of grass but a candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long. Hoping to keep them out by day for October
"a candle that burns..."
I've noticed it before, you're fond of the old sayings/riddles. You do know, whatever time you decide to hang up the clusters for good, you could probably make a living as a bard? Maybe even get yourself a series on BBC 2 on a Sunday night at 10. Title "Long Run the Fox"
Sit in front of a turf fire reciting riddles for 25 minutes.
Speak with a N Antrim accent that no one else can understand.
Start every narrative with "Boys". You can mash it up with "Boys-a-dear"
End each narrative with a prolong pause and then a big long "Aye".
Join the local Lodge (maybe not 😉) and having you as a member they'll become a Center of Culture and get a grant for a new kitchen and inside toilets.
If your series becomes popular it could knock that cultural giant "No place like Tyrone" off it's Monday night BBC 1 slot. Makes me so proud to be from Tyrone!🙄

Aye.
