How can you stop a cow flicking silage over her back and the whole feed Area other than shooting the bastxxd
Have a few here do the same, putting this electric wire above their heads seems to have sorted it

So the GDT increased again today. Along with lots of other price increases, never mind the relentless inflation of our input costs our current producer price is WAY short of the mark.

The response from my Lakeland Dairies representative was entirely predictable...........

Keep going jam's coming tomorrow.
It'll be 35p by Christmas and 20p by the next one when the taps get turned on.

More acres, less nitrogen = more contractor fees to get same tons. Also likely to have lower protein silage = more feed costs. Sounds daft.

Also, increases the merry-go-round antics of farmers racing past each other on the road as they go to service outlying ground. Handling facilities? Summer TB testing far away ground?

Saved me typing that, not to mention that nitrogen even at 400 a ton will still be better return than extra ground.
