Yes thats right 8 robots in now I think. 600 milking through the robots and 300 through the parlour. Supposed to be another guy in that neck of the woods putting in 18 delaval robots for batch milking. Think there due for start up now very soon.

Robots all sit in a big collection pen and group of cows are closed in to be milked then the next batch brought in. Someone with bots correct me if I'm wrong

It seems bizarre. If you want to bring large groups to be milked then install a big rotary, if you want to milk a big herd through 8 robots put 2 robots in each of 4 sheds and leave them to it!?

I’m struggling to understand the point of it tbh. Would you not be better with a big parlour and forget about them when done . What would 14 robots not cost to install.

Yes my thoughts exactly. Dont know the farmer in question or what the motives are, my cousin told me theres another 4 robots being added to the original 14 before startup. Cant see it being much faster than a 14 point swinger in my opinion

Don't know to be honest. Quotes I got ranged from £950 - £975. I priced a month ago and it was £1040...at least a little consolation I didn't order then.
