Yes forecast for next two weeks is poor and the ground is tender. My good silage is ate and what's left the young stock will red up. Might bring grass in to them if it turns wet.

Good stuff, might have to get the pipe in again........... that'll be the 5th time this winter

After the last 9 months of bad weather, I think il keep 10% less cows and clamp a bit more silage, overstocking seems to be 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

We generally try to have a good surplus of silage each year. It's going to be very little if lucky this year. First cut won't be great bulk wise. What do you do? I've a lot of heifer calves this year hopefully a good reason to get shot of a lot of tailenders!
 
don't know much about LP.can some of their supliers tell me what kind of product mix they do?all i know is they spent a ball of money on a shiny big dryer. in short im asking as a dale farm producer/shareholder is this merger/takeover good for dale farm?

Personally cant see how it would add anything to DFs business, other than increase our milk pool which the 'right honourable our holiness and highness Nick' seems intent on doing. DF already has a full portfolio of products including a state of the art drier, so why would we want to produce more powder?
