Yes forecast for next two weeks is poor and the ground is tender. My good silage is ate and what's left the young stock will red up. Might bring grass in to them if it turns wet.
1st cut in. 18 bales off 9 acres. Taking the old grass off. Will they eat it....looks like nice hay but I've a feeling they won't be happy. Update laterHas anybody else started silage?
After the last 9 months of bad weather, I think il keep 10% less cows and clamp a bit more silage, overstocking seems to be 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

don't know much about LP.can some of their supliers tell me what kind of product mix they do?all i know is they spent a ball of money on a shiny big dryer. in short im asking as a dale farm producer/shareholder is this merger/takeover good for dale farm?
