Are lakeland not doing free transport now? Thought i read that in the journal

Just seen willys post load up on my phone there now!

Is lakelands really free tho? Has to be paid for from somewhere

All processors are under charging transport costs.
If we all paid the true cost of transport we'd probably get slightly more for our milk but be no better off

I would agree, there's no such thing as a free lunch. I'm happy I'm not being charged but according to the ufu mpi all the barstewards could be paying more.

That will be a Dale Farm Red Tractor base price of 27.3p (27 +0.3 loyalty bonus).

The advance notice of the June price will give suppliers of other processors who require a 6 month notice period the opportunity to lodge it by the end of June and be free to supply another processor on 1st Jan 2018
More paying for loyalty bonus. It would be better called confidence and supply bonus

All in here. I'm disappointed with the quality. Nothing more I could have done though - had to wait for the weather. On the bright side, it went in nice and dry and should have a good fermentation. Will be grand for heifers. Next cut will have to pick up the baton for quality.
