It is thrilling but i doubt it will end in any higher lifetime production than your average cow.
I had one do 84 litres once. she didn't get past 100 days in her 4th.
50/55L tops is more than enough for me these days. i'm over chasing litres.

Shes 5th lactation.
50 litres is plenty for me and i’m by no way high input. I reckon shes doing well for me.
It just goes to show pure Holsteins aren’t the only cows capable of great yields.

our ai flask needed replacing, as block calving, we use an AI chap, and only AI for 5/6 weeks, so he will lend/hire us a flask for that time, he emptied our flask, amazing what was in the bottom, no need to buy semen this year, but we will be using quite a lot of Braut. Don't know how he matches up to newer NR's, but has served us well, in the past.

Have some nrs by braut and his son gopollon the norwegian red imo is much better suited to grazing than swedish or dainish red.Has anyone criss crossed norwegian red and holstein.

We are very happy with our Gopollens as well, my only concern is they milk themselves in the cubicles, hope they will settle down with time. Otherwise they look like they will be around for a long time.
