It's a wonder some idiot hasn't opened the back door of a trailer. A couple of nice butting Tups or ones trained to cobs ( with a couple of handfuls thrown on the road beside the protesters) would be quite entertaining

Sad day when you can’t go about your lawful business without having to humour some waster who has the backing off the police.
It really is coming to something.
Give in to or humour these bullies and they’ll just be be back for more.
Disgraceful.
It’s the copper that actually stops you for the statutory 30 seconds of protest (including that vile woman calling you a pansy and animal abuser at the top of her voice)

If you or I went down the road to the ASDA supermarket car park and harangued shoppers how long before you’d (rightly ) get arrested .

I gather two of them brag about being on the recent fuel blockades too

Surely the farmer is a “minority “ with rights to be protected too ?

On pretty much every occasion I took stock into market I was on my own, a lone woman, so I would be stopped by the police to be harassed and intimidated on the public highway going about my lawful business?!
If I was made to stop, and I would be making it very clear to any officer that told me that I had to stop that, as a lone woman,I would not be complying with the order to stop as I feared for my safety and the safety of the animals in my charge, and if I was compelled to stop I would be ringing 999 to report to the police that I feared for my safety and needed immediate assistance.
What if every nutcase pressure group of gobsh!te loons decided that they were going to stand in the road and stop vehicles belonging to people that they don’t like the look of, Asian taxi drivers perhaps, or women driving their kids to school who happened to be wearing the hijab, or everyone who looked under 25 or over 65? Would that be permitted? Would the police tell them they had to stop and be harangued and abused, photographed and their vehicles vandalised? If it is not lawful for some, it cannot be lawful at all. 😡

What would happen if everyone told to stop there rang 999 and reported being surrounded by an angry, baying mob and being in fear for their safety?🤔

Yes. Remind them that this is an intentional act that causes you to be put in fear of immediate physical harm. That you apprehend immediate, unlawful personal violence towards you. Ask for a crime number. Remember that as a victim you have rights; that these rights are codified; remember to complain if you feel your rights as a victim have not been taken seriously.

Your rights as a victim can be found here:

Dont forget to keep your dashcams running.

Make the police do their job. It may seem petty but these animal activists will know their rights. If youve ever been on a protest that chances are you will have done the courses in passive resistance and what you can do to the fullest extent of the law. And if the police dont do their job then complain. And get your organisations to complain on your behalf. Hold them accountable. You pay for them to keep you safe and to keep the peace.

Is the mart getting more trade due to extra publicity these protests are giving?

i don't think so....but it being a tb4 mart for cattle is a big help i'm told....little mart is doing well and long may it last IMO (y)
sheep avs get dragged down sometimes by rare breed 'enthusiasts' dumping what they don't want in there:rolleyes:

all you have to do is tell the officer that stands next to your window that you feel intimidated;)

OK

i've had several wranglings with the police over this issue...as usual the bobbies on the ground take the flak and the knobs at hq cite 'political correctness /procedure'....for instance you cannot raise a complaint with the 'commissioner' unless you have a failed complaint against the police officer in charge....sometimes after my complaints things have improved but it's only temporary

the protesters are combining several 'rights' and manipulating them into a combination that can be quite intimidating...it's wrong i know but thats just the way it is i'm afraid....they have the right to protest....block the road...take photos....i had one instance where a lass stood at my drivers window filming me......i must admit even a fairly 'robust' personality like myself found myself dreading the picket

then one day i was stopped....by chance i had a 'christmas head band' on the dash leftover from ferrying youngest daughter about.....i thought 'feck it' and put it on....the result was startling.....the protesters calmed down....one lady protester started smiling at me and a man thanked me for stopping:oops: .......the next time i went i wore a sombrero and dark glasses.....it is said the film they take is taken down to norwich city centre and some of it shown to public..so by wearing my 'outfit' i'm thinking filming me is rather a pointless excersize;)....on the way in a policeman flagged me down 'love it mate' he said.....anyhoo i stopped at the line ...got out my flask ... rolled a ciggie up....window down and waited for plod to move them.....then last time i wore a batman mask....flask out....started to roll a ciggie and engaged with some banter with the vegans who reckoned they liked the sombrero better....they moved quickly...plod waved me on...i said i couldn't move yet cos i'd not finished rolling my ciggie;)

1/ the first thing to recognise is that there are three factions and all three are scared/apprehensive and this in itself raises tensions 2/ expecting the law to provide a 'silver bullet' is not going to happen 3/ you can rant rave about the rights/wrongs of it all but it's not going to make any difference

so i would like to put forward my 'fancy dress' idea for worried market users because 1/it disguises your appearence making personal filming worthless 2/ it lightens the mood and defuses tensions and 3/ it shows you arn't bothered in the slightest by their efforts (whether you are or not) thus devaluing their protest:)
Is that you with chicken hat on in one of the latest videos? 🤣🤣
