Not Quite Farm Engineering or a Quick Bodge.

Got fed up of having the slug Pelleter on the gator all the time so made a bracket and now have a duel purpose snacked/slug Pelleter.

We've some timber to come down off a hillside.
Only access is through a hunting gate.

We've cobbled a timber arch together from scrap.

Peugeot rear hubs, hay turner headstock, 4500lbs winch and a roasting tin for a battery tray...

Just waiting on a switch and it's finished.

It's amazing what it'll pull, the bike hardly knows it has a lump of timber behind once it's suspended from the arch.

I wanted a flat trailer.

I didn't want to pay £1000+ for a worn Ifor or similar.

Rightly or wrongly I bought this locally for £500.

Recent tyres, wheels and axles...

Bed size is 15ft long by 6ft between the mudguards...

Much cutting later we had this

I didn't like the 10mm bits of plate that they'd used to stop the bolts crushing the box section, a problem that should never have occurred.

I widened the holes and fitted tube within the box section.

I've built these boxes for the rear lights to live in.
Using incandescent rather than LEDs, both for cost and I've not found LEDs very reliable.

i think i would of bought a decent trailer

And where is the fun in that?!

Hopefully I'll have something that is pretty much exactly what I want.

Light, simple, will not rattle and able to carry a car if needed.

Sure it's only plated to 2600 kgs but my Hilux is only plated to tow 2250....

And they come in matching paint!, what was the trailer for before you cut it down, guessing it was for pipe reels?

for years we been putting up with the pressure dropping on first a class round baler, then the JD and its replacement JD.
finally got to bottom of it, on the deere the oring in the pressure valve is the wrong size and leaks pressure.
the service kit came with 2 sizes, took out the origonal thin one and used thick one, bales now like they should be.
Must have cost us thousands over the years
