Another fine gate, or is it a door?

It will be clad with 6 mm stockboard too.

Local ploughing match @Zebbedee has been busy in the workshop built a KvOverken. I can't remember which parts were where but it was making not a bad job. However @Zebbedee delegated one of the lads to take her out on her maiden ploughing match.

My recently acquired Zetor 7045 had been fitted with a Lucas ACR alternator (it didn't charge or, indeed, display any dash or any lights at all, but that's another story) Much re wiring later...
I found the alternator pulley to be misaligned with the crank & water pump pulleys, so turned up a couple of spacers to ensure belt (new) ran straight. Belt slipped for a good few seconds after a cold start so I looked further & found the crank & water pump pulleys were "B" section whilst the alternator & belt were "A" section - OK bad weather today so workshop time to make a new alternator pulley.
Turned one up out of some 3" alloy bar I had lying about & bored it to 15mm to suit the alty. Now last job to cut a keyway to fit the Woodruff key in the alty shaft. So far it has been "engineering", now it's time for the bodge!:-
I found that fitting 3 standard 24tpi hacksaw blades to the saw frame allowed me to cut a nearly perfect keyway in the pulley bore. Literally 2 minutes rub with a needle file got a perfect fit on the key :joyful::joyful:
Pulley fitted fine & belt no longer squeals even though it's an A belt on all B pulleys:rolleyes: I'll order a B belt tonight & keep the existing one for spare(y)

But there’s no pictures @pycoed :(
OK - I'll do some tomorrow - I am not the sort of bloke who always has a phone on him, there's not much point here: no signal in the workshop or house!
But there’s no pictures @pycoed :(
Here you go - apologies for the quality - the sun came out half way through my posed shots causing glare - we're not used to such phenomena in Wales!

Right pulley: wrong belt

Sun's still shining so I'm off to brave the mud & feed the flight pond now (y) I've not shot it yet this year so I'll give a couple of mates a ring for tomorrow night.
