Now it's getting silly

Come round to what? I’m purely showing the lunacy of voting out, when we consider the implications of it properly.

How would you suggest we implement Brexit whilst respecting the EU’s health standards and not building a hard border? The only other way I can think is to fully align all our rules and regulations with the EU, which isn’t then “out”.
Backstop in the ROI seems good to me.
That way the ROI get the best of both worlds.

Best solution is Ireland come with us , cos it's guaranteed there's a bus coming that the EU will chuck them under .

Like they did in the banking crisis .

Do you think Leo would chuck in a veto if Big Bo gave him a tinkle and offered to write off the debt?

Perhaps if Big Bo squeezed Leo's upper thigh, that would do it?

My neighbours in france are coming back to visit family next week , quote ,..... we may not be able to after brexit .... what utter sh!t the remainers have spread in the last 3 years .

If they are brits, they will always be able to get to the uk. They might be thinking it could be difficult to get back into France - now that would scare me shitless :nailbiting:

Well yes...
To me, if I only had a Brit passport, worse case would be, as a tourist you could only stay 90 days. Then you would need to leave/re enter. Now, I do wonder though, if you overstay your 90 days, then leave, will you be allowed back in?

90 in any 180, I think. And I wouldn’t want to violate any visa you’re given.

Although since the UK appears in neither Annex 1 or 2 of this
I’m unclear what if any access rights a UK citizen would have, under no deal.

Project fear , people's heads have been fudgeed with

Absolutely spot on. See below.

You should know the answer to this. It really is quite simple. Ask - in France.

Yesterday my wife and I each received a letter from the NHS Business Services Authority regarding Brexit possibilities and what will happen. The letters state categorically that the UK is leaving the EU on 31 October. Seems the NHS knows something the rest of us do not.

I can only speak for being resident in Portugal, but since Portugal is part of the EU then obviously the rules are the same throughout. That is one of the fundamental principles of the EU is it not?

My wife and I are both registered with the Portuguese authorities as being entitled to live here. Nothing to do with Brexit, the UK or anybody else, we are acceptable residents of the country without any conditions. Also entitled to Portuguese healthcare. I have recently undergone a heart valve replacement and some artery bypasses under the Portuguese system and was very impressed with their ability and standard of care. Frankly, I felt it left Raigmore very much down the line havng twice been an inpatient. We have the paperwork from the Portuguese authorities and believe what it says.

The letter from NHS goes on to assure us of our UK pension entitlements and (and I find this is unfair on UK taxpayers) if we visit England, Scotland or Wales we are entitled to free NHS care. I have heard of people who abuse this and return to the UK specifically to take advantage of it. I think those resident in and entitled to another country's healthcare should have any NHS treatment charged to that country. Additionally, and as expected, if we move back to the UK (including NI this time) on a permanent basis we areentitled to free NHS care.

So, yet another project fear myth.

You’ve registered with the Portuguese authorities, and that gives you extra benefits and rights. I couldn’t do the same now, could I?

Well the EU now are saying all pallets will have to be sterilised to enter the ROI.

A 25% Tariff on their cars & wine should give junker something to think on.

They’re not “now saying” it. They’ve had it written into their regulations for many years. It was discussed extensively on here in March and, frankly, if it matters to you and you’ve only just found out then you can’t blame anyone but yourself.

Because what our economies really need right now is a trade war. ... ??
