Nroso heavy handed email

If you are a BASIS member with a current certificate this gets you 10 points with NROSO. This can be done annually and can be backdated in your current NROSO 3 year window. Look under FAQs on NROSO website.

The NRoSO website that’s 7 years out of date….?

Looks like it’s their loss for not updating it then…..better print it out for future reference!

Give that NROSO points are handed out like smarties, how difficult is it to get 30 over three years?

Where should the limit be for 30 points? 28? 25? Sod it, call it 20 and be done. That will make us look professional...

What has that got to do with growing high quality food for people to eat.

A competition about points which we have to buy via courses and sitting in room listening to someone who does work for a living ?

I should be walking my crops, checking for drainage problems (Which reminds me about the bloomin badgers) and trying to solve Nitrogen problems for the next few years.

@Robt But a 12 month suspension and effectively being unable to trade for 12 months having 1 point missed is a massive penalty. It’s obviously not a coincidence that their once a year courses are 10 points.

Aren't they dropping it down to 8 points at the yearly meets??
Makes sense from their point of view. Could get away with going to meetings 2 out of the 3 years and scurry around for the other 10.
Lowering the points probably ensure more attendance

I thought that was just for the online covid course, I’m sure somebody else will know the correct answer

Now the iron is hot it's going to be look out all those do gooder clipboard quangos getting in the farmers way.
Completely agree, all the parasites that have been leaching for years, now SFP is going, these ludicrous extra costs for no benefit need to be throughly examined. No benefit so why have them. They need to wake up to the fact that this is only the beginning. RT, NFU, NRSO etc etc, cost cost cost, if it can’t add value to your business then it has no place, simple.

It’s worse than that. It pushes people into farming sheep, which are about the only things you can sell non assured nowadays. That’s what’s happened round here anyway. I wouldn’t wish sheep farming on anybody.😉
ah ..come on in the 'water is lovely'😗....actually i'm such a 'nut job' i'm going back into stewardship AND keeping sheep😁

Speaking as a (former) arable man, there is actually a modest pleasure in keeping some sheep...

My wife however, would agree with your sentiment!! ;)
same here 😁 😁

back in my noroso days i attended a course every year for 10 points and got 30 easily......but i got really disillusioned by a/ the wqd...pushed until 2014...then 2015 came and no mention:scratchhead:....i asked about it and organiser said 'i don't know'....then b/ content became repetitive and i concluded it was a hopeless cause:(

I've had the same threatening letter from NRoSo.
They took the subscription money then sent the letter.
I've also had City & Guilds bombarding me with emails saying I've got a badge.
I don't want a f**king badge or their f**king bureaucracy, I just want to carry on spraying like I have since 1986 and I passed my PA1 & 2 in 1989.

If I wasn't preparing for a Dairy, beef & lamb assurance visit on Monday, I'd be doing NRoSo courses tonight.
The f**kers don't seem to realise we have real work to do in the daytime & have to do their silly homework at night, it's like being at school again.
What a load of b0ll0cks

Haven’t NRoSO heard that there has been a Worldwide pandemic called Covid 19?

I suspect there are many like me who have been unable to get points because the usual meeting that I get them from were cancelled.

Utter tosser!
In my humble opinion those that are employed by NOROSO , AHDB etc etc are so distant from practical farming that they have NO idea of the pressure that those in the farming industry are under, a load of Hitlers.

My badge has been available for months apparently, have deleted the emails now why do I need a badge. Well I suppose I could wear it when I am spraying
