@Boysground - well done and thank you for raising this! We faced a similar issue a few months back, even before this topic was started. It's great that you've brought this into the light on here too so members on here who will no doubt receive this same letter over the coming months are aware. It's great that issues that affect all farmers like this can be shared by all on here. Farming is a lonely business, especially when you are individually faced with threatening emails like this from organisations that do not understand the effects of their actions. You post above motivated me to email NRoSO directly, with a direct link to your post and to make them aware of this issue being faced by farmers. I felt that they should be formally made aware of the consequences of their actions, held accountable for this and that they should be formally acknowledging this issue head on. I have requested that they engage on here which I hope they will do. Having been made formally aware of it I am hopeful they will address it properly and will not shy away from it. @AM_Arable - would it be worth running a piece on this in the Farmers Weekly to flag this matter up to the wider farming community? There must be many many farmers out there who may have received (or if not soon will be receiving!) a similar letter having been unable to gather sufficient points and currently face the incredible (and excessive!) threat of being banned for 12 months. I feel NRoSO should be approached for comment and should be issuing a formal public statement to clarify the position. Not to mention addressing the fact that that their own website "Events" page has not been updated for over 5 years - the most recent Event Date listed is 2016! It's rather rich to call farmers out given that they are not helping in this matter by doing their bit. Screenshot below taken today.
