NrOSO points

Do the eoperator courses that are in the pro operator magazine. Unfortunately it is a money grab as you need to pay £25. I was so pee'd off with points I had genuinely got not being awarded! BASF real farm results spring to mind. Told on website basf will do everything once you have done module. When I asked nroso why they had not been added she told me to get proof. I tried phoning the ceo of basf why I hadn't got my points but he didn't seem interested in helping a small peasant out! Complete load of rubbish as we all know!

Where can you gain more points, done the normal, but still short.
Don’t know if these will help, I got points from the following:

Use this link & you can get some free points for this year & last for subscribing to the newsletter

Look on page 88 & you claim points for the publication as well

Watch the clip & sign up to the newsletter for 2 lots of poin

Also complete a intergrated pest management (IPM) plan on Nfu website to get points https://www.nfuonline.com/updates-and-information/fill-in-your-integrated-pest-management-ipm-plan/

Hope this helps

So, as I attempt to get three years cpd done in one day, have a look at some of the places you can get points without paying for the Annual Morning Patronisation.

For harvesting points I recommend:

BeeConnected - you get 2 points per year for signing up. You dont need to enter any spraying or field data. Renewable each year.
FWi Courses - plenty available worth 2 each. Some of the quizzes are useful.
Agronomy meetings - ask agron for a form and send them to NRoSo.
Potash development people - watch a video for 2 points and subscribe to the free mag for a more a year.
AHDB - you pay for them so may as well get the points for Arable Focus / Cereals and Oilseeds.
NSTS test - testing person will give you a form. Youve paid for it so get it.
Syngenta Spring Guide is worth two points per season.
EiOperator courses - if you a NRoSo member then you can get one free course from them worth 2 points.

Uniuvoq course on Corteva website gets your 8 points.

Just be warned Nroso only allow so many points from each category per year.

During the pandemic you didn't need to MOT your car etc., most of the country told to stay safe at home furloughed, but yet farmers still had to go about collecting Nroso points and having an NSTS test on your sprayer, ridiculous.

Which is why I did pretty much every category. Give it until Wednesday to see how many get on my score sheet. Letter on Monday telling me I had to get them all in two weeks. At worst I'll have to go the eight point course.

@Chris F is it worth this thread being a sticky, there’s always people after points for Nroso.

Bg
We could with an opening post that has a list that can they be kept updated save having to search through pages of links et.

Can take weeks to be updated though! The EI operator paid for 8 point course I believe is in the same category as the 'annual waste hals a day' events so no limit on points, so you can do online training plus the EI operator course,
Some of the course are quite good and you do learn something useful in most cases. (y)
