So is the test now going to be a requirement to get the points in future?
Isn't that called mission creep; and who was consulted and okayed it if so?
Was told by agronomist who ran the course that the test was added because that is what farmers said they wanted in previous feedbacks!!!
Test can't be failed, and our course guy ran through the entire test to make sure any computer illiterate participants knew what they were doing!

We were told all the answers were in the course booklet, I've failed to access the test so far. :banghead:

Been today for first part, struggled to stay awake as it's mostly the same as before and I m night lambing so feeling tired !!
Came home , eventually, as car broke down 20 miles from home and wife had to pick me up( rear wheeled suddendly locked up , hand brake or brake drum issue, car left in layby).
Thought I would do test . Apart from ridiculous long log on address, questions were tame and took less than 5 minutes, 10 out of 10 !
One thing that really annoyed us was a statement in the book which recons only 0.1 % of active hits its target and only 15% of spray hits plant ?? Can t be right ? Some sort of USA report from 2006.
Only needs a journalist to get those facts ( it must be right , it's in a training manual)and suddendly another hammer to hit us .

I fail to see how that question/answer helps “train” an operator. What benefit is there to the operator knowing or retaining that information?

Seems to me a case of just a fact for facts sake….something to check if people were listening. And it does seem like a research question thought up by someone with a bias to prove a certain train of thought.

As to the accuracy of it….that depends what you are spraying.

If spraying a pre-emergence herbicide….I’d say 99% hits the target I.e the soil.
A contact herbicide or insecticide probably much less hits the specific weed/insect….but if there were more targets it would hit them too so it’s intentional it covers the whole area.

Glad you got home safe…..tomorrow hopefully will be a more enjoyable and productive day for you!

That’s a very broad statement. If it’s peri emergence wheat it might be less but if it’s something like beans at flowering it might be 100%?! The active figure is just because it’s diluted which is fair enough. I dread to think what 0.1% of my chemical bill would be and that’s all that did any good 😂

Whats all this badge 💩
I phoned NRoSO yesterday to find out. They told me nothing to do with them and
That it’s a company calls Credy. When I asked how they knew they said they must have got my details. When I asked if they were giving away personal information they became flustered. They then said it must be the trainer, in my case Agrovista, who were passing the information. It all stinks, there must be a Data protection issue here somewhere. Still don’t know what the badge fowls or what it is for.

I got through to them on the number on their website, a week or 2 ago. Must say they were polite and helpful ish.
Got my TFF points on at last.
I can't work out how I get evidence of events attendance without photographing the sheet, which would be a bit naughty. I might have to create some sort of a homemade attendance slip and get them to sign it?

The badges are so much pointless rubbish. The contract they entered with the company to provide them will be reflected in a price rise again next year, no doubt. Its just spam.

I had a rant at the NRoSO stand at LAMMA on Thursday about my Cereals points not appearing, despite some bloke with a tablet on the day telling me it was all done.
I checked last night, and everything's there now! It wasn't their fault, of course, it was the organisers of Cereals!!

11 months in, and I'm only 6 points short of what I need for the three years. There's no way I'm going to get in the position lots of us were in last year desperately trying to find points with all the usual sources unavailable. A couple of shows next month, and I can be relaxed about it all for two years!

Are NRoSO still pretending that the Credly badges are nothing to do with them? It was another email from them about a LAMMA/NRoSO badge yesterday afternoon that prompted me to look so quickly. The only way they could have got that information was for NRoSO to have told them when they put my points on the system.
