Dont be put of by that. I have had several Nuffs over the years and none had poor steering. The very early system was prone to wear, too many joints and pivots, but from the universal four on it was fine.If looking over a tractor with an idea to buy, check the drop arm on the steering box and the two arms on the top of the king pins, they are prone to working loose. Cleaning up the spline, and applying loctite together with an aircraft standard high tensile clamping bolt usually cures the problem.
Oh its Fordson Dexta!( thats if you want a cheap and nasty copy of a fergy!) Tin hat on!

Dexta was the stillborn child ferguson threw out the window before designing the 35, in every single respect the 35 is better than the dexta, without a doubt

Our 1060 didnt, (D reg) the pto had to be crashed into gear, Drum brakes that did nothing just before locking solid if you stood on the pedals, link arms were weak with a fine thread adjuster that couldnt be moved

10 60 had dry disks, 4 60 drums. Ipto had hand clutch, on all models, though it was probably an option then, tractor was not produced till 1964 Normal pto controlled by driveline clutch and selector lever on L/H side of hyd unit, behind seat. Two leveling box adjuster threads, early BSF then UNC, which was retained and used on the Marshall versions.Lower links were ok, top could and did break, were strengthened on 2600 pressure hyds, another part together with the bottom arms which carried over to the Marshall models. Heavier duty arms and lifting rods were available on leylands with assister ram fitted

They were, and still are(leylands) very light on the front.

They tried to cure this in a cheap way by mounting the fuel tank in the very nose of the tractor, however, all this achieved was to restrict the airflow to the rad and made them run hotter, not to mention more difficult access to clean the blocked radiator out

Indeed, and they forgot to mention the added fun available when going home with a near empty tank, and a heavy implement on the linkage

When I was about 12,I drove our 4/65 under a low bough while topping, and the tall rollover frame caught on the tree, so the nose rapidly headed up in the air. Luckily, I stamped on the clutch, so down came the nose with a bang, but the fuel tank kept heading south and smashed out of its frame as it was so far forward. :)
