They would couple up all sorts. Ford, JD, Nuffield, Ferguson etc. Driver drove the front one with the rear one hung on the hitch usually with big disc's or cultivators on. There fitters made frames to put two springtine drags side by side. Pic you saw was in Classic Tractor mag a few years ago.didnt they "triple D" a pair of nuffields at some point as well, remember seeing a pic of a nuffield and 3 ton cart backed up a home made portable ramp, tipping lime into a taskers land drive spreader towed by another nuffield?????
