Nuffield D4 with Six Cylinder Engine

didnt they "triple D" a pair of nuffields at some point as well, remember seeing a pic of a nuffield and 3 ton cart backed up a home made portable ramp, tipping lime into a taskers land drive spreader towed by another nuffield?????
They would couple up all sorts. Ford, JD, Nuffield, Ferguson etc. Driver drove the front one with the rear one hung on the hitch usually with big disc's or cultivators on. There fitters made frames to put two springtine drags side by side. Pic you saw was in Classic Tractor mag a few years ago.

Camel of cornwall were into this, think they also converted a few artics to be classed as tractors.
And an arrangement to couple a tractor to the back of implements so the driver could work 2 tractors

Apparently there was at least one Nuffield model built as standard with a 6 cylinder engine fitted..

the 10/90 which was a 10 speed 90hp Tractor

I seem to remember that there was a farming business in the Eastern counties that put 6cyl Leyland engines into Nuffields & they also did a ‘Doe type’ Nuffield conversion
