There will be much more backtracking to come but it will be called negotiation and agreements with other states.

Brexit means compromise and complex interaction with independent trade bodies and international courts too.

Leavers will hate it.
Not all leavers. Idiots might. Anyone who thought we were going to sail off into the North Sea is an idiot. I have never said this. The principle is that we will not be a member of the EU. Of course we will always be tied, just as we are to so many states in complicated ways. We will continue to have strong ties to the EU, anything else would be stupid. Did you see the thing about Kennedy vs. Macmillan last night on BBC2? Very illuminating. Power, money and influence. I think I will get what I want out of Brexit and that is not the same as the knuckle draggers. At the same time I hope it mightily gets up the nose of the smug and superior Remainers who will attempt to make out they have won whatever, mainly as they own the media and can set the agenda and the headlines.

Leavers arnt getting what they voted for.

They've been taken for mugs... and the Tories will be made to look stupid over this, with their concessions and back tracking - oops, I mean negotiations.

So who's going to win out of that? Corbyn?

I haven't been taken for a mug. Been in local politics a long time and know that where you start is never where you finish. But there is a principle here which cannot be denied. We are no longer an EU state.

You mean like Murdoch empire who were pushing for us to leave... so they can sink their claws deeper into us. We are/were protected from them by the EU.

No... Labour has lost the plot - every half truth or concession the govt are making should be getting yelled from the rooftops by the opposition - used to highlight inadequacies in the govt. leadership of the country, for their own political gain. But Labour are that far lost and infighting, the Tories could pretty much get away with totally bollocksing this up (n) UK politics is in a sh!T place

'The EU'. Who are they again? The great protectors? In 20 years will 'The EU' be better or worse than the Murdoch empire? Ask the Greeks maybe.

I won't disagree with that. Labour are a disgrace. We need a proper opposition, whoever is in power.

In what way? We were told we needed to leave the EU to get away from the likes of the TTIP...

But the UK is one of the main drivers of the TTIP, and the UK will push on keen to do the deal with the USA itself.

Westminster is the one we need to watch out for!

As far as I am aware TTIP is a US/ EU construct? If so, we are out of it.

Yes, but as far as I'm aware the UK govt are one of the most keen to do the deal with TTIP, and is something we were pushing as members.

It wouldn't be much of a surprise if we were to try and do our own TTIP-type deal with the USA.
