One of Girls Aloud had G1 RLS on a Hummer, her mother lived with a chap nearby, she had K155 ###(can't remember) also on a Hummer, used to see both quite regularly for a while, until mother had a very public fall out with her chap.

Have seen U2 on a car around Preston quite recently
Why they never sold it to the Irish band when they were big is a mystery
Always thought it would be worth a lot

I think one of the best Welsh ones is on a friends car, @GTB will know it .

Their farm names is Cwmwythig, plate on their car is CWM81G

8= wyth in Welsh so translates as

CWM 8(wyth)1G(y)
I must admit that one is very clever. They must have put a lot of thought into it plus got very lucky to find the only plate in the country that spelled out the farm name. (y)

I would quite like to have NE11ADD if anyone knows where it is. I tried to buy it a couple of years before it was issued but someone had already bought it. :banghead: barstewards! ;)

We have B11 TUP on our pickup which causes amusement when we deliver rams. For many years we saw EA51 RAM advertised really cheap and then one day when we decided to try and get it we discovered it had been sold so ended up paying more money to buy EA53 RAM:(
I also have a sheep breeding friend friend who has B4 EWE

Someone is selling a car I'm interested in and they will be taking their private number plate off. How does this work on my end? Do you need to get a new plate for it if they don't have the original?

Never been in this scenario before and I can't find anything on the DVLA.
It will revert back to its original number it was first registered with. Nothing for you to do. Just make sure they pay to get the new plates made up though!

Unless the private plate was registered to the vehicle from new in which case when the seller applies to remove the plate it will be assigned an age related number

Get them to do it or it will cost you.
When they put private plate on ,new log books were issues with relavant private number on and the transfer price paid.
Type vehicle number into dvla system to see situation at this moment as could be sorn off if in limbo?
