NZ - UK trade deal.

The “Nation” hasn’t - Just this current minority ( by way of votes ) government with a parliamentary majority gifted by virtue of FPTP.

Sadly, the deal is done by the government democratically elected by the country to represent the country internationally and to negotiating on behalf of the country.

Boris, on behalf of the United Kingdom, has gifted New Zealand 1/3 of the UKs domestic lamb meat market..

So yes, the UK has granted NZ tariff free trade.

Since 15th September - Elected MP for Berwick on Tweed who obviously has s**t for brains.

Heard this mp on tv just sounded like an idiot let loose. Boris will soon get trade deals with people like that othere country's just run over us.

They will just be running to the bank, easy cash.

Which just goes to show that the UK only has “democracy” in name only.
None too soon for PR(STV) methinks.

The UK government has only done this to pish off the EU. I can't for the life of me think what the UK would sell to the people in NZ. There isn't actually that many of them.
There’s not much UK manufacturing left either.
Their imports come from the same countries as the UK’s and they are remarkably self sufficient in seasonal foods.

I have seen xxxxxxxxx pork in NZ supermarkets though but if we are sending pigs to landfill in the UK I doubt that will break the balance of payments.

Why the good people of Berwick upon Tweed and the borders voted for her instead of Hans Porksens daughter is beyond belief.
A case of anything with a blue rosette?

Fantastic.....

I see that as part of this trade deal the British government as made a commitment to help protect the Haka- the Maori war dance performed by the New Zealand All Blacks (amongst other NZ and South Seas teams) before kick off - from misuse.

I can only hope that NZ have made a concomitant clause to protect the Morris Dance

that a myth, often told by many of the people that voted for Brexit, cause they don't see the old, low tech stuff that the UK use to do, yes a lot of the low end, low profit stuff has be shipped out to the like's of china, BUT the UK is still the place to come for high quality high end stuff. the UK remains the ninth largest manufacturing nation in the world, with some of the best paid jobs in the UK for a skilled worker

I’m happy to be corrected on the volume of UK manufacturing but I have seen manufacturing companies which we have worked for for years and supply JLR, BMW, JCB, Vauxhall etc folding before my eyes.
Oh, I voted remain - could never have voted for anything to do with Farage....
