Why oh why is that the assorted oat mills seem to make a quality claim on each and every delivery?
Its like theres a reception committee on the weighbridge...
They make millers and maltsters seem positively angelic. Just sayin.

Only want Mascani - with poor / no grass weed control and the ever marching tide of blackgrass oats may become scarce one day then they will bloody moan.

There seems to be a large % of the spring oat crop has ended up in the feed bin. You’d think they’d be hungrier for winters.

Just as difficult getting good spec Oats moved as well. 58kg Mascani defiantly wanted, they just can't make up there mind when!

Even the merchant has admited if you try and force the movement issue with them, the Miller's will find fault with them.

Am sure they would be as understanding if the situation was reserved. Good job there £200/ton plus.

The one and only time we tried to sell oats for milling was the year we sold up. Even the lorry driver ( Who was also a farmer) remarked what a nice sample they looked. But they turned them down at the mill because ( I kid you not) they found 6 little beetles in the load.

Just put 3 loads away, Mascani that died on their feet, polished up with mobile drier, out of store to remove dust or potential mites, but still screenings claims between 6 and 11 percent, Richardsons, Bedford.
Beautifully bright colour but like plump grass seed.
£172 base, being wheat futures minus £10, when priced as per contract.
