He is getting bigger but has developed a hernia, not too big at present fortunately. He is a little smaller than his peers now

His body had smoothed out, only his face remained different, he was a bit smaller than his mates but as they were going and he had a hernia I decided that he would be better going too - just waiting for the abattoir to condemn his skin or something.
Never seen wrinkled face like that before! Body almost looks similar to Greasy pig?
 
I'm sad that Mr Wrinkles' life story has been cut short, I was half hoping to see a yard full of wrinkly piglets in 3 years time and a new breed fad for smallholders to blow their cash on.

I would certainly not be quick at letting him go as if it has a high percentage of Meishan they are now an endangered species and I am sure a breeder would pay a premium.

I think we might have the only breeding boar in the country now, unfortunately one of our sows was shot last month and the remaining one is never interested. We've put him on the Berkshires though
