Off grid security systems

Hi, my yard was robbed last week. They got a Woodchipper and a load of chainsaws and other tools. Other farms in area also hit over the past few days. They cut a decent security chain to get in. No doubt they will be back sometime. I have no electricity up there but what can I do to protect my stuff? Police have been useless.

You can go all "mission impossible" for reasonable bucks these days. Most gear can be found to run or adapted pretty easily for 12v operation - including:
- LED security lights
- CCTV over 4G internet; and
- an alarm with GSM or internet callout. + a mutha 120dB Master blaster to deafen the mo-fo's

Run it all from a discrete solar charging system. You should be able to do the lot and have change from under a grand if you shop wisely.

1. CCTV connects to the internet and that you can securely view and record from anywhere on the planet.
2. An alarm that will call your phone, text you or send you another message and/or allow you to remotely see what sensor has been tripped or door etc opened.
3. Master Blaster:
Master blasters and strobe lights in a building will make it very difficult for the skanks

Pretty much any alarm will run of dry lead acid battery that are usually used as mains backups in the alarm anyway with an additional one in the bell box.
You just need a solar panel to keep it charged up ,as said you can connect the alarms output to a dialler card that you put a sim into and it will ring or text as as many people as you want if its activated
Also if you had a gate for example that had to be opened to access the property you could link that to the alarm or sim card to give you advance notice that someone was actively snooping about. You can get loops that are buried in the ground and will detect vehicles also.
in addition a big steel vault to put saws in just to slow them down along with smart water , microdots etc to help trace the gear if it is stolen and plenty of signage to say its all covered.
Sadley its a case of making your stuff harder to steal or less risky then someone elses, they will steal something when they go out to rob just hopefully not your stuff.

3. Master Blaster:

Thought master blasters were 240v? We fit them in our rentals, works v well...

Flashing becoms spray painted blue mounted high will help too, cheap and I always think is v off putting, never know when the flashing is genuine!
