Ofgem very slow to respond

Back in October last year I lost my email account ( long story) and needed to add a new one to my RHI accreditation . Simple you would think, but it took ofgem until the end of January to approve it. Mean time you can’t submit your meter readings and which means your payments stop. My readings were due in November but was only able to submit them 10 days ago which probably means another 5 weeks to wait for payment , could they really be that busy that a simple thing like changing an email can hold payments up for 4 months?

Try 21 months for accreditation and no payments !

Feck that, why so long?. They are the most unhelpful crowd i've come across, when I was ringing in every day practically they kept telling me they would contact the accreditation team and raise my query but after a month of getting no where I got a very helpful girl who I explained this too and she checked my notes from my other calls and not one of them had bothered to forward on my query.

Ive been registered now for approaching 6 yrs.

They made an error when the application went in and put my name rather than the business name down on the invoices. No massive deal, I get told off by the accountants. I told them after they sent out my first payment by email asking for it to be amended, got an email acknowledgment last week saying they change it!

Very small department dealing with 1,000’s of applications. Once an amendment is actioned your whole application gets reviewed a second time going through the whole process a second time and reviewed by management also.

Application can take 6 plus months and amendments can take 4 plus months to process.

Phoning them daily will not help, they will not email audit team to speed things up. They will just note your account. If you are rude to them you can expect extreme bottom of pile filing and maximum wait time. Just call them monthly.

I have also found them very slow to respond to our RHI Claim.
I sent a string of emails asking if all the paperwork i'd submitted was sufficient.
Eventually I got fed up and picked up the phone, after that the whole application was completed within 24hrs.
My advice = ring them!

They are slow as. Just need to keep phoning them every day to get stuff done. Phoned them about 9 times just trying to get some documents in last week.
