I know Boris wouldn't have wished for it ( the guy nearly died of it ) but Covid has been a very effective smokescreen for some of the economic damage Brexit has/is/will cause. Not sure it will ever be quantifiable....

Proroguing parliament and lying to the queen.
Conducting trade deals without allowing parliamentary scrutiny.
Bypassing government procurement rules.
Ministerial code not being adhered to.
Signing up to international treaties with no intention of honouring them.
Not allowing any parliamentary time to debate the withdrawal agreement.
Limiting the power of the Supreme Court.
The government to have greater say in the appointment of senior judges.
Proposed disbandment of the Electoral Commission.
Increasing limitations on the Freedom of information act.
No parliamentary approval or discussion for his personal Brexit airline and cruise ship.

That's before we get onto all the legal powers he has granted himself over the covid pandemic to hold the entire population captive to his often idiotic and incomprehensible rules (or lack of) that have needlessly killed thousands and massively damaged the economy.
Where is illegality and what has been done without a democratic mandate?

As for Covid, he followed the advice that anyone in office would have had to. What you write could be written of pretty much every 'leader' of every country, you just add it on with your vitriol because BJ got us out of your EU.

She was caught up in an endless legal wrangle that has been going on for 26 years between the state bank and the billionaire Bernard Tapie, nothing that exciting.
She was convicted by the highest competent Court! But, of course, over there a politician being convicted is of less import and you are used to it...

The two that have already been through the courts:-
Proroguing parliament was deemed unlawful by the supreme court.
Bypassing government procurement rules has resulted in dozens of court cases some already proved.
it wasnt unlawful till it had been through the court, and the ruling was highly political
in the state of emergency that was covid most countries by passed procurement rules ,especially ppe as the standard procurement routes had failed france also had its ppe crisis

There is two points to this in my view, dud they stick to the rules of procurement and take weeks to get the stuff while people needed it immediately or get on with buying it. The second and only one to be concerned about was money spent that resulted in no ppe arriving ie fraud if so chuck the book at them

France as much as possible turned to local manufactories as Johnson should have done, not friends, family and party donors.
