oh feck

saw that one....thought it abit old and 'mental' looking :scratchhead:......then again he'd fit right in:rolleyes:🤣
Dunno about mental, cats aren't my thing and to me they all look a bit deranged in a spaced-out schizo kind of way. He'd probably be good for a few years yet. A friend lost her yard cat the other week and it was 7 when she got it in 2006.

Older cat should be immune, the younger ones excrete it.
We tried to get one from the Cat Protection League and it would have been easier to adopt a small child. Neighbour has a cat which goes round various houses mooching food. Someone has reported it as a possible stray and I saw it with a Cat Protection League paper collar like a car in a field with 'Police 'Aware' sign. Looks picture of health to me.

Agree on the rescue dog but not so much a whippet. Whippet rescues in the UK have waiting lists at the moment (as do breeders), and while they do love being with people and look dainty they can be fierce hunters off-lead. Mine used to chase and herd deer back to me, presumably expecting me to bring it down so he could finish it off. I must have been such a disappointment to him.

Anyway, I'm not sure @spin cycle needs a speedy free-range assassin about the place as he has enough on his plate with his Norfolk Hurdlers. A fat older cat would be less hassle.

My mil used to have Whippets. One was really expensive, if it saw a cat on the wall it would go straight through the window. Broke no end of panes of glass. :D

All right! Keep yer hair on! I've been looking for cats for the Admiral and have somehow put my name down to be considered for another dog. You are a bad influence.

The two girls here have two female cats got them about 5 year ago as kittens and got then neutered, they are around the farm yard all day catching mice and into the house during the day and night. Never dirty in the house and look to go out when time comes, they are super loyal and when one of the kids is not well the cat stays with them all the time. My mother has one in her house and you could set your clock by him for breakfast and lunch etc she talks to him all the time and he does everything she asks. A great companion. We keep sheep and never a problem with the cats.
