I hope it wasn’t mis-sold to youI had a springer for year's.but it was noisy and heavy and took to long to load.
So got a German ppi much more effective and quiet.

.177 Sharp Innova, multi pump which I`ve had for decades - takes out tree rats and magpies easy enough. That`ll do me.
years ago when i lived down essex we used to go ratting at a compost heap the owner would put smoke bombs down the holes and the rats would fly out i was only about 12 and used his webley 410 bolt action sheer carnage but great funI bought a BSA Lightning .22 springer in the early 80s. Then converted it to a Gas Ram which transformed the rifle, smoother and more powerful, cheated a bit as it had the uprated ram which would have pushed power somewhat.
Little carbine barrel, but suprisingly accurate with a good pellet. It was my go to tool for control around the farmyard and would drop feral pigeons at 55yards. Almost too much on rats at 10yards! I still have the Falcon PCP I changed it for, but I still like the lack of a gas bottle... Use a superlight little CO2 carbine for ratting now.... or a .410 when I am not feeling sporting!
