old air rifles still in use

I bought a BSA Lightning .22 springer in the early 80s. Then converted it to a Gas Ram which transformed the rifle, smoother and more powerful, cheated a bit as it had the uprated ram which would have pushed power somewhat.

Little carbine barrel, but suprisingly accurate with a good pellet. It was my go to tool for control around the farmyard and would drop feral pigeons at 55yards. Almost too much on rats at 10yards! I still have the Falcon PCP I changed it for, but I still like the lack of a gas bottle... Use a superlight little CO2 carbine for ratting now.... or a .410 when I am not feeling sporting!
