OLD BATEMAN RB15 RANDOM BOOM ON/OFF PROBLEM

one boom switch started occaionally switching off and on; now none work nor the step. I think it may be a solenoid problem may be the air pump . The handbook is hopeless
Any thoughts? Please!

Speak to bateman, they are brilliant. Had a boom section slow to start each time, could here a air leak in the valve block above the tyre, they told me the part I required and how to fit it, next day perfect.

Are you hearing the pump get to pressure then blow off?

no . Still learning how to use it . Is the air pump on the left side of engine ?. I dont use air induction ,just normal fan jets. The brake now wont disengage

Sounds more like you’ve got an electric fault, what voltage is showing on the dash? Is the fuse box getting hot?
It’s common to get bad contacts on the power supply into the fuse box next to the seat.
Low voltage also causes the solenoids on the sections to mess about.

you could be still getting air as booms needs air to shut off not switch on. Sounds electrical to me

Mine is a 25, but needs air pressure in the lines to open the nozzles to Start spraying.

Oldwurzel has a RB15 same as mine so answering from experience

Speak to Bateman. They'll know all the common faults and will happily talk you through diagnostics and repair.

PS. Sounds electrical to me.

Check your fan belt tension, charge the battery, check battery connections, and retry
