hi - can anyone advise.
basically ive got an old benford dumper. the tipper is extremely slow going down and then back up. also the noise from the front below the tipper sounds like its seizing/whinning. is this hydraulics? if so where do you put the fluid in? there are two access points on either side at the back, the right one is where you open up and see the fuel cap, the other size is the same but im not sure what goes down there - clearly im a newbie - dont shoot me down, just help me - ta :)

Could be low on oil.

The hydraulic tank is the tank on one side that isn't the diesel tank.
It'll need HV46 oil.

You may need a spanner to get into it.

When did you last grease the grease nipples?

If it isn't low on oil id probably try changing the hydraulic filter.

Hydraulic oil usually goes in through a cap on the left side. There may be a sight glass for the level or a dip stick attached to the chrome or black plastic cap.

The sound could be the pressure relief valve lifting dumping the oil back to tank. This would cause the speed of the skip to be reduced. The hydraulic tank is probably at the rear on the left hand side. Easy way to check is to find the hyd pump and flow the suction pipe back to the hydraulic tank. There should be a sight glass and a return filter on it to.
