Old Cooper Drench Gun and Container

Was taking advantage of the rain and sorting out the workshop and came across what must have been my grandfathers dosing gear. Does anyone wiser than I remember these guns and what year it might be?

I’ve never seen that type before. I would think it would be 50’s,it would have been state of the art in it’s day.

I was using one of those in the mid 60s giving a fluke and worm dose as the shearers finished them. '63,'64? Job always given to a schoolboy as I was.

Looks a bit more 'sturdily built' than the plastic ones we get nowadays.
No chance of the container collapsing as it empties either.

Think that would be 60,s I remember mixing Minell powder to a drench in a bucket and the gun was single dose that it sucked up from the bucket

Mine too , and my father . Horn used to hang on a nail in the shippon wall ready for use. Along with a pair of bolt croppers in case a cow went down , and they couldn't unfasten the chain .
