Apologies as I have asked this before on the old forum but cant find the notes I made. Please can someone help identify what lorry this is, can take more photos if necessary / find more details in situ if needs be.

Many thanks

It's a Leyland FG with the rear "urban" doors

Body could be by anybody from that era, maybe a makers plaque on the body somewhere; Jennings at Reading and G C Smith certainly carried on making wooden bodies (for the horsey set) long after they stopped on the livestock

They'm weren't very nice to drive ;)

To OP The current Boss of the farm written on the cab is active on Twitter, their web site has some old pictures, perhaps write to them, of course you may also be the same person :)

My first truck was one of those, but had "normal" doors on the cab. The engine was a six cylinder petrol , and it'd pass anything, except a filling station!!! Eventually, I sold the number plate off it, (5857 W), re-registered it and sold it, ( for less than I got for the old registration number), and with the proceeds bought the first of a succession of TK Bedfords! Happy days.

One and the same!

So its a BMC FM or FG. Thanks all, appreciate the help. Thinking of restoring for alternative use and don't have a lot of info to work with.

Definitely chassis and cab would be a nice project for the beginner. Even put a nice flat on the back when you get finished, but that body would be to big for me to get my head around.

The cab has very small panels that will leave the job not easy, but doable on a realistic time scale/budget.
And if it has history for you or the company, even better.

Very interesting ..............
