old military sites

i am looking for sites around Northamptonshire that were in use by the military during world war one and two , Northamptonshire is rich with these areas in the form of old airfields , transit camps , air defence sites and much more . I was in the RAF for a few years and after leaving the interest started in searching and researching old areas most of the runways from the old bases are all gone (A14 and M1 ) but the old accomodation areas and operations buildings can still be found in areas of woodland . some items recovered from these sites can be traceable to relatives of the owner as well which is always a good result .Now comes the bad word i do use a metal detector as well old maps and books but have found that most sites of interest are usually located around existing woodland tucked out of the way or repurposed into farm outbuildings, transit camps and intern camps were on open land but mainly pasture and a few sites remain that way today. If anyone has land that could contain history from the war years and would be in a position to allow me to search the area concerned i would be most grateful i dont promise hoards of gold but will show all finds from the area as well as any research i do.
thankyou
