Anyone know a cross ref for this old simms fuel filter on a Nuffield 460?

Never seen this style before?

Dads never changed it and he bought he tractor about 20 years ago:ROFLMAO: just been washing it out but its about knackered(n)

There is a number on the filter of A98003 but don't seem to be able to find anything on Google?

there used to be a nuffield here yonks ago but my knowledge of it is limited.
is it just a simms filter in a simms unit or is it a simms filter in a vokes housing.
is the filter a bare pleated type thing or is it it a paper cartridge effect.
i wish i knew more but they be bygones now so not many left over here.
weret they known to be a b1tch if the fuel system wasnt right or is it my imagination.

That looks very similar to the Cooper's filter I've just got for the fendt

@ACEngineering do you have an internal picture
I have a few old obsolete filters that fit naff but can't bring myself to chuck them
I was having a look the other day in some boxes when we moved garage
And found a genuine fe35 head gasket kit

I not seen it. Its one of dads toys.
I think the above pictured filters are more likey to be the more common unit fitted that bolts up from under neath. This one you take the filter out the top.

The filter in the pic above
Is placed inside the canister from the top
Notice the little ring pull to remove from canister

Could be I had not noticed that.

speaking to dad again its not like any mentioned above.

it only has a hole at the top not both ends.

it has a rubber seal on the top that covers the whole top of filter and then forms the seal for the top plate on the housing.

Maybe @bobk is right?
