One of those was used here in the 1960’s on field scale and thereafter for a couple of headland rows for the farm workers until the mid 1980’s. I’ll see if I can find the slides.

These pictures would be around 1967-1968.

The trailer was used to collect the ladies with their prams ready for the days work picking spuds. Different type of folk back in those days compared to now!View attachment 1037723
Can you imagine ladies with prams now going to pick spuds, ha how about the ones without prams, they would be away getting their nails done, never mind picking spuds,
Taking of spuds we used to let the pickers take a bag home at night, if you dropped a free bag off at most ladies houses today, They would look down their nose at you and tell you to take them dirty spuds away 🤔🤔🤔.

As pickers got harder to get, we went to a Faun potato harvester, and latterly had to get pickers from a fair bit off as locals not interested,
Anyone still have a Faun harvester in use or in back of the shed ?

Come on then challenge for the day what type of tractor in the bottom picture.
John Deere model B with dual wheels 16hp. It would pull two of those trailers in tandem to Kidderminster beet factory with land girls to wind the brake shoes on the handle on the front of each trailer. 4t on each trailer all on and off with beet scuvins. Unfortunately that tractor is no longer as it got burnt in the farm fire in 1968.
