Older fastrac and loader

Has anybody got or used an older fastrac such as at 1135/1170 4ws model with a front end loader? On paper looks like a good straw haulage setup? But having never really driven one in anger I have little experience? I’ve seen a nice 1135 on farm locally with 9000 hours. One owner who’s retiring and had it from new. It’s very tidy and well cared for. £15,000 to buy it. Id have to source a loader though.

We put a loader on a 3220 . Just for running polly out to the veg gangs and the odd load of fert or seed corn . In theory it was good , and it was good on the road but turned like an oil tanker and front suspension & loader combo wasn’t great .

We have a loader on a 2140 fastrac and it’s surprisingly quite handy with 4ws we have loadalls as well but if I’m not lifting anything most of the time il take the fastrac
We bought to shift a lot of hay which it is ideal for
The worst thing about it ,it has sharp clutch We have 2 other fastracs with same gearbox and clutch and they are fine
You will struggle to find a loader to go straight on,but I’m sure someone could adapt 1 and make it fit if you can’t find 1
You will also need a deck weight or some sort on weight where the rear platform is ok without but a completely different loader tractor with it on

Had a play on one once. 2170 I think. Snatchy clutch combined with front suspension meant precision placement of tines or even a bucket on the floor was a surprisingly tricky exercise

Forget any 1000 series as their dry clutches were awful. Any of the 2000 series with smooth-shift are much better, but may occasionally need recalibrating, which is simple enough to do from the cab. Once done they are fantastic.

Hesstondriver said they turned like an oil tanker

That picture was not too far from you we was spreading .
When I first came here from Suffolk and the lime I’d ordered turned up. I rang the merchant and asked why he had dropped of a load of sand, instead of lime! It was local and had a decent enough alkaline level.

I have seen what I would call proper white lime South of Oxford/ Reading way mined from one hell of a deep, ever increasing hole.
They used a set of discs and a power harrow to break it up into a spreadable material.
