Hmmmm with 29k subscribers yes he’s probably got some perks like more demos ect, maybe a little bit of discount here and there… the odd gift of a jacket or something but I doubt he’s drawing any sort of wage off it don’t forget I bet that video took half a day too edit and put together and he probs lost an hour over the day setting up cameras ect up … I doubt it’s as glitz and glam as some of the jealous make it out too be….

Well it’s less than £100 a day every day of pure profit…. So that means paying tax I guess assuming he is already a higher rate tax payer £50 a day in his pocket now if it’s company income not personal and he is a director it’s a lot more tax efficient so who knows that’s between him and his accountant but anyone who isn’t bothered about £30k a year plus of diversification income (more like 2/3 times that if growth continues)

In 68/69 we were baling the straw from a crop the following february, had the first dry spell and weredesperate for the straw. It was an awful job to get up the pick up, just rolled along in front
Have baled in March before, hard to bale & bales would explode once net was removed, lad that bought them thought it was great & asked if we could do that every year?

It genuinely doesn’t sound like it.

Just watched the double cropping one and that’s it… might watch a few more when I get time, I’m more of a sheep game kinda guy … but my point was more some folk think that he just whips out a camera and videos a few clips and he is all of a sudden a millionaire… if you factor in the time and effort that goes into each video he’s probably only working on a standard wage… but curiousity has got the better of me so i’v googled it … so he’s got 702 videos atm.. they seem too all hit about 20-30k views… according too google it’s roughly £13 per 1000 views on a video, the pay day gets bigger if you get over 100k and then bigger again over a million…
So if he’s averaged 25k views a video over 702 videos he’d of earned £228,150 since the start 😂 I take it back he’s having a hell of a time fair play to him if my maths and google is correct

He explains throughout his videos what he earns from YouTube and actually how much of his day it takes up,throughout the summer he will edit the videos while he is spraying or on the combine 👍

Not only YouTube. All of the income from the merch he's plugging now too.

I have a lot of respect for him and agree with comments above about him being a great ambassador for UK agriculture. He's open enough to share what his yields were from summer barley. Also shares poor areas of fields/,crops and mistakes.

He deserves all the money he gets. I've no idea how he finds the time and motivation to do a video every day. Even when he's on holiday.

each to their own and fair play to him. However in my opinion i just cant see how 2.8t off 16 acres is ever going to do anything but lose money even with no inputs. Would have preferred to try and get a crop of osr in after the winter barley.

You obviously haven't seen any of his work then!

I think you will find he is gathering up more than "the odd jacket", He has raised a fantastic amount for his local hospital after organising a Christmas tractor run.

Olly is a very good ambassador for UK farming at the moment!
I’d agree but wish he would have a go at red tractor
