@agricontract i like watching a lot of your videos, there was one you did about the soil health on your fields after certain crops you grow, organic matter build up, worm numbers etc. It shows that the min till works and every year is an improvement on the last, until it is when potatoes are grown which undoes all the good work the previous 4-5 years have done. Which brings me to my question, why do you still grow spuds when you know the damage it does to the soil? is it on rented ground or your own?

On a different note, instead of going to Scotland next year for a break, i,m inviting you to Herefordshire to stay in a safari tent or pod. We could even do an exchange where my family come to your place to stay in your holiday apartments. Would be nice to see the classics you have that i've driven years ago.

Sadly I don’t own all the land I farm and some land lords like the increase rent from potatoes
Sounds good idea regarding holiday I don’t know when I will next get one though 🤷‍♂️

Big fan of your blogs Olly and hugely impressed by what you have achieved, you're a fantastic advertisement for British Agriculture.

Apologies for sounding rude but where do you find your motivation? I was like yourself when younger 24/7, however once the novelty of shiny metal and land wore off I found that I was constantly stressed and drained, waiting for the next thing to go wrong or fail.

Even now what worries me the most is if I fall ill, who will manage the business, the land, the staff.... do you have a management structure behind the scenes or do you single handedly run the whole operation, if you do, I am seriously impressed well done.

I am always looking for another way to make money I guess my motivation is to provide a good footing and big enough Buisness so when it needs subdivision to split to the next generation they can survive in different business on there own

When I’ve had a bad day and edit a vid It makes me feel better some how as some where in that day something will have been achieved and accomplished
It’s also helps as lots of people who watch offer words of wisdom or support
I guess a problem shared is a problem halved
