Wow!

21% protein, £365 /tonne - makes me think I'm short changing our old ewes with our 18% home mix at £177
bit pricey but is it worth it for 4 weeks before and after lambing?

Currentl paying about £340 a ton for harbro ewe pencils so is it worth changing
Depends on what the quality of your forage is like I suppose. It does look very palatable feed though.

What extra are you paying for haulage compared to the Mainland?

getting a ton of feed delivered this week so will know then.

If i was to take up a pallet space on a lorry i think its about £80.

I know its pricey but if theres a lack of grass in march and april, which there will be then it will do the sheep wonders surely?

You have obviously bought your straights/ balancer very well this year , or your costing your grain at harvest value/COP ???
I recon my ration is around £200t and I thought I had done well 😂

Feed rep rang to see if I could take any more just before Christmas but we were full up, Apparently the next load of protein will 'have gone up'

Galloway charge £30 per pallet down to the south west - use their tup feed which is good and cheaper than most. Have ordered their forfarmers ewe nuts and ewe rolls for lambing for cheaper than the Forfarmers rep quoted. That’s with delivery @ £ 30 per pallet from Scotland compared with Avonmouth depot at 20 minutes up the road !

I think it could be worth a shot, for your amount of ewes, there is no harm in trying it, and at least you will know the answer for next year! I dont really rate harbro sheep feed, I switched to a cheaper brand and got better results. been quoted £306 a tonne this year:(

my thoughts too plus if April is slow growing like it normally is then it could keep the ewes alot milkier. Do you think id need to feed hay alongside it
