Do many people buy tractor tyres on line? look reasonable prices. Which web site is best. Will obviously ring local suppliers as well but thought it was worth having some prices to bounce off them. Sadly need a few 😒

Will the online dealer fix you on the side of the road when your stuck, I’d get online prices and then buy local and do a bit of bargaining .

I've had tyres from Terry Elsey by "mail order" ask local suppliers for a supply only price, and quite often get a really good price.been told that sometimes tyre fitters need to reach target figures in order to get quantity discounts, and will pass on big savings. Worth keeping an eye on market place on here as well.

Redpath tyres or SMJ, just get them to fit them as well and save yourself a lot of hassle, if your getting a few i'm sure a deal could be done

I needed 4 recently, ordered them from Terry Elsey and had my tyre fitter fit them. My tyre bloke wasn’t at all put out by me chasing them elsewhere. Ended up being way cheaper as Michelin we’re offering money back so everyone was happy.
Will say great service from Terry elsey tires right through right through..

I think it can work both ways but in my case, with 8 budget end tractor tyres, the local price fitted was nearly 1k more than sent from T Elsey and local indi to fit.

Ouch, always pays to shop around.
I did price cheaper tires with my tyre bloke which seemed a really good deal but I’m on steep banks and have ran away before so was afraid to change. Probably wouldn’t have made any difference but felt better the devil you know type of thing.(y)

why were Michelin offering money back, I have Michelin that have worn very very fast, there the worst tyre on the market for wearing fast. Never again.

there was an offer at the time, more expensive the tires more back I think. Few hundred quid back for full set if I remember correctly. Just had to fill in form and proof of purchase from mich dealer.

Michelin are soft especially if you do a lot of road work. Only bought them for slippery steep grass banks as that’s all that tractor does. Set that was on before been on for years but only done 4000 hours. Only one was clapped out leaking air so worried it would pop on bank so changed the lot. 3 were ok really but coming to the end. Been on trellbourg on other tractors, don’t see much difference but do slip more. Probably because they’re heavier tractors and wider tires not down to actual tire make or compound Though

They must have sold you fake Chinese copy Michelin tyres. I've got proper Michelins on both my JDs and they are brilliant and wear well.
