On the floor drying store cost

Evening,

Looking at options of how to update our current grain storage, which revolves around a continuous flow dryer and cleaner linked to 10 flat bottomed 40 ton bin storage and 2 x 1000t bulk stores. The most recent of the 1000t bulk store being split into two, with 500t a side.

I have permitted development to put up another 1000t bulk store adjacent to the aforementioned. My quandary is, the dryer is an Alvan Blanch system circa 1980s which still runs well, and have updated control panels etc. but still needs a lot of attention, especially when filling the bins (which are in turn a PITA to empty).

Therefore I’m now wondering whether I am better off looking to resubmit my planning app for a bigger shed, to accommodate a wind tunnel and underfloor drying for a 1000t bulk storage.

On a standard 1000t flat store I was getting prices of £250 - £300/ ton. What realistically would you be looking at per ton for a 1000t on the floor drying store, all inclusive?

Leave a 3-4m gap between your recent 1000t store and your new 1000t store and plonk a 25t hopper and 12t automatic mobile dryer between them, emptying either side into either store.
