On Track guidance system -anyone got any views how good they are?

As per title ,was wondering if the On Trak would be a simple and reasonably cheap enough thing to help my fert application (if it ever gets cheap enough ) but mainly for utilising my smallish crop sprayer to apply seaweed /growth promoters / foliar N and the like !
Will suit me on the tractor seat after my hip replacement ,and the On Trak looks simple enough to use ,utilising an old I pad I have too !
I am not arable farming so ,it appears perfect .
Anyone got one ? :)

Thanks in advance folks

I've got one, mainly use it for spraying as we tend to go on the roll marks for fert. It works well and is fairly simple, only misses I have noticed are operator error/trial plots.... and area worked seems to tally up with spray used.

Usually difficult to interpret what "works well" means. These receivers are using EGNOS corrections, pass-to-pass accuracy some 30 cm in good satellite visibility (sometimes 20 cm claimed but that figure assumes a lower confidence level). Drift is an issue if one needs to leave the field to come back to continue later. Could be more than a metre off.

Nothing like RTK with year-to-year accuracy of a couple of cm. However, very good devices for applications like mentioned above. Worth the cost if one does not like any DIY work for AgOpenGPS or similar.

Drift?
Is that to do with the units connection to satellite varying with time means that the marker spot can drift?
Hopefully you still have wheelmarks as a help.
In our case I believe it's more than adequate 😀

Not cheap....

Might be as well off with a big tablet, and a 2nd hand garmin glo mounted on your roof.

IME, these are suitable for fert spreading and sometimes, would have an accuracy suitable for thistle spraying ;)
I’ve had a look and seen the Garmin Glo 2 for £89.99. Is this what you are talking about, and is it fairly simple to set up to use on the tractor? Technology is not my strongest attribute ! The On Track does seem simple

The Glo connects to your phone or tablet, using Bluetooth, then on your device you can run whatever app you like. Fieldbee is free and is good. There is a bit of messing about mind, which might not suit you.

Plenty of other guidance apps in the Playstore. I expect Apple has something similiar?

OnTrak is eligible for the FETF grant. So £480 towards something I think costs £675. Application closing date is midday tomorrow (the 7th).
You would need to claim for some other kit as well though, as the minimum grant is £2000.

It's right enough, but turning at the headland, and getting back into work on the correct line is not as smooth and intuitive as the Leica Mojomini I have. Pass to pass accuracy is fine though, I followed Starfire guided contract drilling when rolling last year, and Ontrack was cock on and repeatable.

Had a reply today.
The email said they couldn't find evidence I am a farmer! Despite claiming they checked with the Rural Payments service who have been paying farming related money into my account for over 20 years!
They want me to supply proof within 5 days. Tried phoning, but can't get through so far.
