Depended on which bucket width, here's one with three, some had two and some only one, but I can't recall any DB made, without, except maybe for the trip loader, and it was like using a spoon then.View attachment 628922
Does anyone know if front grill guard of a 1390 ,fit a 1490? Its an original db item ,are they multi fit or does it just fit up to the 1390? Haven't seen item myself as mate of mine picked it up in scrap and foned me if I wanted it.

Sorry, no, 12 and 13 are narrower than 14 and 16...

Shame to scrap it though...

Would I be right in saying it would only be the mounting brackets that would need altered?been studying pics and top part should still fit round grill or not?

Ummmm... not sure...

I recon that 14 / 16 are wider than 11 / 12 / 13... so they may be unique?

If your stuck, I'll have a measure next time i'm in the shed... :)

There can't have been many of these linkages made and probably none of them made it to the UK but I like it, even if it is a bit unrefined.

1212 was the first DB to have a spool as standard fitment, I gave £13,000 for a 1690 4WD in 1984 A819PUM included 2 spools as standard, ARM pickup hitch, Radiator Guard.

1490 2WD WCX94X 1982 came with 2 spools and DB PUH two piece lower window, 1490 DHD331Y same spec except ARM hitch and now had one piece lower window, not one of the 90's came with an assist ram.

Also the later 1490 had newer style rear wheels, because the early models had been tearing the fixings off the wheel rim, the earlier tractor had the wheels replaced under warranty, after a lot of arguing, all they wanted to do was a lot of welding on the old wheels, If I remember it correctly this was only on 16.9 x 34s and the 13.6 x 38s did not have problems. And I also think now that one spool was standard but I specified two on both 14s.
Hello,

Just noticed the ex EB silo carrier.....remember this coming and later on driving with cattle and straw.

Also served time on the farms aforementioned 3 90 series.

Also a number of 880,885, 990,996 1210 & 1212.......heady days.
