For those that have an 8s how are they getting on with them, I’ve one on demo at the moment and was very keen, but having used it for 2 days my back is in agony the seat is like sitting on a concrete block all day!
Surely the demo tractor didnt come with a Poundland spec seat tho ??? now thats how to not sell your product?

I would expect any seat fitted to a tractor like that ought to offer a decent level of comfort, saving what would amount to a few hundred pounds on a seat for a tractor costing well over 100k is just bonkers
all the videos n pics ive seen of them its a snazzy looking Seat more like whats in top spec fendts with about 75 diff adjustments blah blah blah.
last 4 Masseys here all had there Super Deluxe Heated Seat in why would you have anything less ??? like you say its nowt on the cost of a new tractor

Last new Massey here was a 7480, with some sort of super deluxe seat, it’s nowhere near as comfortable as the seats in the 6200 series, if I were speccing a new Massey today I’d be saying I’m not having one of them

I’m not sure which seat it ,how do you check? but there’s not much if any padding in the bottom and none in the back bit like sitting on a wooden park bench
I think it’s the exclusive spec

If it has a grey handle on the front of the base cushion then it should be a deluxe there will be switches on the back rest to adjust the firmness of the back cushion

Well if its heated in the 7480 that is pretty much the top seat like it or not & there much the same now really only 8S or 8000 series masseys have the better versions
that seat in my 7719S is much the same just a black coloured finish. the Excell specced 2002 6290 we had had the same Seat so ive no idea whats changed not much id say.

twin grey handles in middle of the seat base between ya legs basically for seat base adjustments thats the equ of the super deluxe seat in previous models & buttons on side for lumbar support plus the switch for the heated on/off

Yes, I know it’s the top spec seat, I also know it ain’t half as comfortable as my lower spec seats. Sounds silly but that’s the way it feels

Was told by a man in the know that a local 8s that has featured in some of grassmen videos has siezed the gearbox. Obviously warranty job but reckoned if payin dealer to sort it with a service exchange unit the bill would be around 25k

I was told by a mate of another man in the know that the same tractor was running like clockwork, but that if it did break down it would only cost 1k to repair. Difficult to know what to believe with so many 1st hand facts floating around...........
