Online bidding and no view machinery auction

There is online only machinery auction starting Saturday with
Welshpool livestock sales
There's no viewing allowed so prospective buyers have no idea on condition
How can it work?

Do you actually know that for certain or is it something you've been told again?

2 months ago viewing was restricted at most places as you'd imagine. Some places by appointment only, some not at all.
some of the more unscrupulous dealers have had a good time getting rid of some real headaches where no one can view.

As it is now I'm not aware of anywhere that's not offering at least one viewing day. Done properly there's no reason not to allow viewing now.
probably too late to view Welshpool now seeing as the sale is tomorrow

OK... I am wrong
But I am watching BBC Welsh news and there fresh corona outbreaks in
Wrexham and Anglesey
And advice is given not to travel more than 5 miles for non essential journeys

Good luck with enforcing that one.
You could just say that you needed to buy that bit of kit as it was critical to the operation of your business

But if they pay strong, it won’t remain mid low price,
It becomes overpriced, and difficult to sell,
exactly unless you completely desperate i would just wait, its madness to add more risk to what is a risky business buying from auction especially if there is some pent up demand.

I love a good auction (and alot of my machinery if from auction) i looked at some stuff at york and its making more than normal plus its hard to see, why bother... i will just wait.

I’ve just bought a machine from browns online auction unseen, never done it before as like to see what I’m bidding on really but just put a low bid in as couldn’t be bothered to do the 150 mile round trip to view.

as is I got it cheap I believe and picked it up yesterday and was pleased with it.

People buying machinery at this moment in time will have to somtimes buy on a picture and written detail, at the current time machinery dealers and auctions can't let people look inside cabs or put there bare hands on a tractor or implament, numerous people touching or going inside a tractor cab would spread the virus I'm afraid.
