Have you tried altering the angle of them ? its a neat feature that we didn't have on the 750a - we have been running ours at lowest possible pressure so far and slot closure is pretty good

Did try, not much difference. I am learning with this drill. It was mostly open on the really clay bits. Closed up a lot of bits pretty well though. I’ve seen it before and it usually just grows, unless it goes very dry after.

I run ours with the coulters in the middle holes with new discs, I appreciate there is a small compromise with seed depth but it leaves a much narrower slot to close and there’s no chance of smearing the bottom. I also find the smooth closing wheels are much better at closing the slot in wet or stiff ground.

Just been for a look, rain seems to be helping close the slots up. Think we will be okay.

Quite pleased with how the rain has closed the slots up. It does need another dose of glyphosate though which will be done ASAP and wait for the pre em to do peri.

How deep were you drilling (sorry of this has already been stated) ?? How much slot has been filled in?

Drilling about 1.5-2 inches and it has mostly filled apart from on some grim headland bits.

do you worry for emergence if it turns cold aswell as wet ? The 10 dayer don’t look good here !

4l crystal. Dropped the avadex.
