Hi
Doea anyone know where someone can find a person or company that for a fee will give remote operator training on a T7 tractor (video calling). Specifically hitching and unhitching an18t trailer and attaching and unattaching various bits of machinery.
Need someone tomorrow please
Thanks

Curious, is there something special about the hitches on a T7 tractor? If not, I am slightly worried that someone can need urgent specific training on what is normally a fairly fundamental aspect of tractor use, especially given recent accidents regarding hitch detachment.

No advice for the OP other than please be careful, and only do tasks for which you are confident you are fully trained and competent.

The hitching trailer thing couldn’t be simpler. I appreciate this will be easier described on the phone but...

1) slide the position controller on the armrest right back to 10, this will raise arms to full height.

2) pull the huge lever just in front of the rear window up

3) slide the position controller back to 3 or 4 to lower arms and also hitch.

4) pull black spool to extend the hitch out so you can see it and reverse up to trailer

5) when trailer is hooked slide the position controller back to 10 (full height)

6) pull hitch spool back in until it clicks and the large lever behind the seat drops back down.

7) try hitch spool in and out a few times to check it’s all locked and safe.

Modern tractors...

I took delivery of my new deutz last week. I can’t do anything with it without studying the manual first

Thanks I've been in communication with @La Vieille Foss. And sent him a video. His lift seems to be locked and won't move. I can't work out why! I've got the lift height indicator displayed on front screen of his tractor and it seems to be stuck on 88. Spools are working so it's not rocker switch on pillar. It locks spools and lift on same switch? Asked him to try fender buttons and buttons on armrest. But no luck.

Any other ideas welcome.

Sounds like the rear linkage needs calibrating

You forgot to drop the position lift it’s constant pumping if left all the way up ours is on the blue spool for sliding in and out

Thanks Chae 1 for all your help and patience for showing me something which I appreciate is a simple thing for someone used to doing It everyday. It seemed daunting to me as someone with no experience. The hydraulics were locked which is why I couldn’t adjust the arms up and down. I flicked a switch on the rear right pillar behind me and it all worked. I’ve read in the manual and online it’s a safety switch to avoid accidents with trailers or anything attached Hydraulically being moved whilst on the road which is why the person who last used it must have switch it. Thanks again this forum shows me level of care shown amongst yourselves that in other industries I’ve not really seen. Thankyou

Personally I prefer to Hook up , just enough to hook the ring, release the brake pedal and pull the hitch in and let the tractor be pulled back , then lift.
I Fundamentally disagree with lifting trailers , especially loaded ones, with the hitch fully extended , bent hitch looking for a place to happen .
