We used to have 2 2 ton tanks when we run one it never struggled for gas and from what I remember lasted a relatively good amount of time

Using 2000 litre gas tank on ours

On propane your going to be roughly 100k btu per gallon of propane. Little more actually but it’s close. So if your burner is 3 million btu your going to burn 30 gallons an hour at full heat. 1 litre of propane is about 25000 btu If you can get a 1000 gallon tank it will be easier to arrange deliveries and cover weekends. Ours is cheaper fir larger drops also.
